Be an Intern at Theatre Action Project!

Theatre Action Project is one of a handful of educational theatre companies in the country. We welcome creative, dedicated interns who want a chance to learn theatre-in-education and theatre of the oppressed methodologies in the classroom. We are also committed to training interns in the skills necessary to run a small non-profit. Currently, TAP internships are unpaid, but past interns have received college credit for their work and small stipends are sometimes available.

The length and number of hours of the internship are flexible, but it is best for us if you can commit to at least one school semester (Fall, Spring or Summer).

We offer internships in the following areas (it is possible to combine areas):

• Arts and Education
Focused on learning how to use theatre as a tool for social change.
Responsibilities include assisting with and developing programming. May lead and manage a special event project.

• Arts Administration
Focused on learning skills needed to run a nonprofit arts organization.
Responsibilities include communicating with schools, organizing program logistics, and assisting Executive Director with day to day administration.

• Development and Fundraising
Focused on learning skills needed to support a nonprofit arts organization.
Responsibilities include assisting with grant writing, fundraising, event planning and Board of Director meetings.
