Teens create original interactive shows based on their own experiences. The companies then tour throughout the school year to educate their peers on topics like dating violence and drug and alcohol abuse.
What are the warning signs of an abusive dating relationship? How do I face peer pressure when it comes to alcohol or partying?Where can I find the power to make healthy choices in my life?
Teenagers have a lot to say when it comes to these crucial questions they face every day. TAP's Youth Theatre Companies give teens the chance to creatively explore these issues with the guidance of TAP's trained teaching artists and other community experts. Using knowledge gained during the program and their own life experiences, the teens create original theatrical performances for families, friends, and peers.
If you, or a middle or high school student you know, is interested in making a difference in your community while forming new friendships and having fun, check out TAP's Youth Theatre Companies or contact us for more information.
