We Love Volunteers!
Whether you’d like to lend your professional skills over the long term or pitch in for an afternoon at one of our special events, Theatre Action Project welcomes your help. Past volunteers have updated our marketing materials, photographed our performances, face painted, and helped at festivals!
We need volunteers to help us prepare for and put on our many special events. Please click here to see a calendar of upcoming events and the kinds of volunteers we will need.
We are also looking for volunteers who can help with the following areas:
- Marketing & Public Relations

- Photography
- Events/Benefits
- Programming

We are interested in volunteers willing to take on a single project, or to be “on tap” for projects as they come up. If you are interested please send us an e-mail about your interest and availability at maryalice@theatreactionproject.org or call Mary Alice Carnes, Community Relations Manager at (512) 442-8773

Quotes from our TAP-Tastic Volunteer Award Winners
"Volunteering at TAP is fun because it's so unpredictable. I've done everything from entering data to organizing supplies to mending a giant frog puppet. Besides, I get the satisfaction of working hard and being creative and knowing that my efforts help kids have fun, learn, and express themselves." ~Genai Odhner
"The youth in the Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble are my source of inspiration, creativity, & fun. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to volunteer for an organization like TAP that shares my passions for youth, the creative arts, & social justice. " ~Joe Carr
"TAP blends the need for creative programming to positively influence and the need for community cohesion for it's inspiration. This is what drew me to Theatre Action Project - the continuous growth by local ideas and artists to serve Central Texas - and I am proud to be a part of it." ~ Sabina Peerbhai
"I have loved my two very different assignments for TAP: assisting visiting artists at Baty where I worked with K - 2 grade 'charmers' and at Winn where I work with 6th graders who are 'charming' in their own unique way. It's great to have another outlet for my creative energy. And it's high time I put that BFA in acting & directing to use!" ~Tony Becker
